Review of Altmann BYOB Amplifier & Attraction DAC:
Hi Charles,
I find the amp/DAC combination really amazing.
It is the only amp on my 108 dB/W/m sensitive horn speaker (Avantgarde Acoustic Trio) which does not have any noise at all!
All the other amps I have ever tried (and I tried quite a lot and very expensive amps) just got some noise through the horns.
Your amp is absolutely dead quiet.
It has a pure tone which is very involving, to be honest I did not hear anything better on my horn speakers ever, and I was using a very rare Audio Note Kageki (the original one, designed by Kondo, serial number is 3) for six years before I sold it few weeks ago to an Italian collector.
Your products are just not comparable to anything else, because of the purity they have.
You are either lucky or really clever :-))
Ferenc.

Hi Goran,
I do not know if Charles's amp better or not as the Kageki was. Music
listening is so subjective and unpredictable. But one thing is for sure: I
have never listened so much music since I got my BYOB amp and the Attraction
DAC. Forget about hifi and sound, enjoy the music, this is what you get.
Best regards
Ferenc
